The Only Ones - Or "First"

Our first album. We'd already recorded a lot of it ourselves before we signed to CBS. We booked time at various studios as & when songs were ready to record - went in and did 'em. 'Planet' was one of these. Recorded somewhere in Sussex. Pretty much first takes all round - rhythm track and guitar solo both first takes. Bosh. Done. I hate hanging round in studios

... Finished off the album, downstairs at Basing St. Mick Taylor was block-booked upstairs, where he wasn't recording his first solo album. His guitars were all there but most Nights were Silent. I don't think we ever did see him there. But he certainly had some nice guitars ...
