Ce disque quasi artisanal soutien allègrement la comparaison avec nombre d'album à la production ronflante. Il nous rappelle que ce sont les compositions qui font avant tout la valeur d'un album. Or sur ce point, Julie Lambert n'a rien à envier à personne. et si l'on pense aux noms de Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones, Tracy Chapman, Carole King ou Joan Armatrading, ce 'n'est pas forcément à son désavantage. L'inspiration principale des textes de cet album réside autour des relations de l'individu avec son environnement. Ils parlent simplement de choses simples: l'amour, la nature, notre lien avec l'univers. Ces mots choisis délicatement prennent toute leur force grâce à une voix magnifique. A la fois douce et puissant, elle captive, séduit et donne aux chansons une dimension nouvelle.

Chaque audition de ce CD vous fera découvrir une nouvelle facette de son charme ( c'est d'ailleurs à ça qu'on reconnaît les bons disques et le grands artistes).

Julie Lambert’s songwriting and singing can be likened to such goddesses of folk and jazz as Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones, Tracy Chapman, Carole King or Joan Armatrading. The main inspiration of the lyrics centers around the individual and their environment, speaking of simple things in a simple way (love, nature, our connection to the universe. . .) The delicately chosen words are empowered by a tremendous voice that can be both intimate and powerful. Like with all good CD’s, each listen brings appreciation for a new facet of this artist’s musical and poetic charm.
